Okay! I have finally joined the rest of the Sydney food blogging crowd who have visited Chur Burger! And funnily enough it was not even a planned visit but it's the spontaneous decisions that make it so much more fun, don't you think so?
This place is famous for its crowds and queues, let alone its burgers. So I was lucky to have one of my friends AJ arrive there ahead of us. By the time I got there, I only had to hang around for a minute and there were seats ready for us.
As expected, the place was full, with loud music in the background and the team busy as! We were seated near the kitchen area but I didn't realise until later on that there was a neon sign right next to me which would distort every one of my food photo. The sign was lit in red! Aargh!
Please excuse the quality of the photos, they had to be photo shopped. :(
We had the following:
Grilled beef burger with cheese, tomato jam, mustard mayo and pickle - I decided to try the classic beef burger to mentally compare against others from a rating perspective. It was a good burger, no question about it but in my humble opinion the jury is out if it is the best burger in Sydney.
Pulled pork with Chur BBQ sauce, red slaw and fennel mayo. AJ ordered this as he loved it the last time he had it and couldn't resist it again. Thumbs up from him!
We shared Chips with chilli salt (yum, yum, and yum).
Sweet potato fries with garlic and lime. Requested by DD as this was his favourite but I wasn't too keen on it. I didn't find it crunchy enough.
BBQ chicken wings with blue cheese dressing. Sticky, sweet and quite rich from the blue cheese dressing. Literally finger licking good!
The guys in the kitchen were so friendly and when they saw me taking pics, they immediately offered to pose for me. Lovely!
Overall, I would rate it as a cool place to hang out. It would be difficult to have much of a decent conversation as the music was playing quite loud. The $10 burgers are an absolute crowd pleaser and who can blame anyone for wanting to have one here. They are very affordable plus the ingredients in the burgers are quality ingredients. I don't know how Warren Turnbull does it but kudos to him. He has definitely hit a magic formula!
Would I come back? Yes! I still have to try the pulled pork plus the grilled lamb was calling me too! Decisions, decisions! :-)

Now I want to go to Chur in Manly. Have to wait till girls' exams are over.
I look forward to your pics when you check out Chur Manly, Charmaine! :)
I thought I was the last person in the world to get there! Agree with you thought that it is hard to award it the crown as the Best.
Hi Napoli Restaurant Alert, hehe, you are definitely not the last one. It is hard to check everything out in a short time frame isn't it? Thanks for the comment! :)
